Dining Refresh

This family's love for The Lord and strong feelings to express that visually was the inspiration for this dining room makeover. Keeping as much of the existing original choices. The space was professionally done several years ago and the wall color drape fabric and the ceiling cloud faux were original choices that they really liked. My challenge was to update it without completely starting over. What we did first was to visually divide the room in two. We created a wainscoting by texturing and fauxing aged stone blocks under the existing chair rail molding, it gives the room weight anchoring it to the floor. The family also loved a Renaissance Mural of The Last Supper we did, so we divided it into three panels. Our master finisher Eddie meticulously created the look of a16th century Masterpiece aged 200 years. Next the carpentry shop built the dining table and chairs. The table is finished with actual bible pages and gold leaf lettering reciting Christ's words 'Take eat this is My body which is given for you' it's surrounded by eight hand carved chairs tufted in velvet with leather, crystal buttons, and bronze nail heads. For the drapes we added a swag of velvet to the top and a coordinating fabric to the bottom for a more polished look. Finally the room is completed with an iconic wrought iron crown chandelier, designed by Curry and Company. This dining room is truly a place of celebration, all that's left to do now is enjoy it ...
